I believe that is just a "Norton" version of recycle bin.....serves the
same purpose as Windows. It is enabled to protect critical system files
from being deleted by viruses, worms or trojans, but any file you delete
will also go there.

Subject: [PCSOFT] Recycle Bin question
I have Norton Professional 2003 on my computer, and I've noticed when
I empty my recycle bin, there is something called "Norton Protected
Files" in there. What are those and is it ok to empty them?? I've been
afraid to. Thanks. ---Leigh
