Hi John,
Has the file been permanently deleted or can you restore it from the Recycle
Bin? If it was moved instead of deleted, a file search should find it.
Probably your best option is to reinstall Works. Or, if you know someone who
is running the same version of Works, you can get a copy of the file from
them and copy it to the same location on your computer. Also, you may find
it for download on the Internet but you would need to make sure it's the
same version you had or that could cause problems.
When uninstalling programs in some versions of Windows you are often given
an option when it comes to uninstalling 'shared' files. The safe option is
to always choose "No".

Subject: [PCSOFT] dll file
Dear Help,
I deleted WKSSEXT.DLL by mistake.
I cannot open or use MS works spread sheet.
How can I replace this file?
I have 8 disks for Microsoft works suite 2000, but it
only has word, no spread sheet disk.
I use windows 98 2nd E.
Thanks,
John
