Try to create a custom plan and see if that will work.
Check the BIOS to make sure they are set for proper power management (long
shot).
Make sure that when you change the times in the plans you remember to check
"apply" at the bottom. Now and then I do that and wonder why the change
didn't stick! :)
What, exactly, is the problem? They don't work at all, the times are
incorrect, or what?

PS: I have found that my computers sometimes have a mind of their own. For
example, one computer set to hibernate will wake up in the middle of the
night to do its updates.

Subject: [PCSOFT] Sllep and Hibernate inoperable in Vista
Computer is desktop. OS is Vista Home Premium. 2046 megabytes installed
memory. Processor is Intel Core 2 Duo 1.87 gigahertz. Motherboard is Biostar
TForce P965. Hard disk has over 300 GB free space.
Sleep and hibernate both functioned normally until about a week ago but now
do not. Power options currently set on balanced plan but changing times to
sleep or hibernate do not correct my problem. Used System Restore to go
back to a time when sleep and hibernate functioned normally but problem
persists.
I hope someone has a solution. Thanks, John in Hertford, NC
