Hi,
Some time ago I posed the question about the Windows installer coming up
when I was doing totally unrelated things in Windows. This was annoying to
say the least. I have subsequently found out through the MS newsgroup that
the thing to do when this happens is feed the disk and allow it to do it’s
thing. Apparently it is a self-healing process for Office, preventing or
reverting dlls that are required by O2K. I was running some other program
and the Office installer came up, stuck in the disk, let it do its thing,
and I haven’t seen that since. It has been several weeks now.
