Hello:

I've got the following problem. I've ripped several mp3s to my hard drive and now I want to convert them to .wav files and edit 'em so I can use 'em for event sounds.

Does anyone know of a cheap(preferably free)sound editor that'll do the trick and won't put me into bankruptcy a la "Soundforge"?

I'm running Windows XP Pro.
