Some CD ROM drives can't read packet written media. One factor that can increase the success rate is to disable
'READ-AHEAD' on the CD ROM drive.
Read-Ahead is a feature that allows the drive to 'guess' where it will find data on the disc before it actually reads
the disc. However, if a CD-ROM drive guesses that there will be data in a location where there is actually a link
block, it may choke. To shut off READ-AHEAD on you CD-ROM drive, right click on My Computer, (Properties),
and select Performance. Click on File System and select CD-ROM, then Optimize Access Pattern for
NO READ AHEAD.
