I have a few Excel pivot tables which access external data (SQL database). I thought that they used a query written in the MS Query program and then linked to the external data "import". I have recently found a need to change the criteria for the query. I've changed the query and updated the data in the Excel pivot table. No change was reflected.

Any suggestions on where to turn next? I really need to make some updates to the pivot tables, but I'm not anxious to recreate them every time I need to make a simple change to the query.

Thanks!
