You can do this without using Visual Basic Code as follows:
1) Add =max([rangeofcellswithnumbervalues]) at end of numeric column, for
example (assuming your sample chart starts in cell A1), put =max(B1:B4) in
cell B5.
2) Add new column (column C), each cell to contain
=if([numericcell]=$[maxcell],[namecell],""). For your example, this would
be =if(B1=$B$5, A1, ""). NOTE: The "" keeps the if function from reporting
a zero instead of the desired blank cell.
3) At the end of the new column, use the concatenate function to grab the
name associated with the maximum value "=concatenate(C1, C2, C3, C4)" in
cell C5. Note that using =concatenate(C1:C4) may cause a VALUE! error, so a
comma separated list is desirable if feasible.
This avoids the need for coding to achieve your desired result.
