Go to control panel/system/performance/file system/troubleshooting/
then check  disable system restore then ok. now go back to that last screen
and uncheck the disable system and click ok till all screens close. you will
get a prompt that you need to restart your system. Do so, and the .CPY files
are all deleted.
WARNING--This will remove all previous restore points. If you can afford to
lose them this method will work. I use this method myself HTH
