Lew,

What you do is save a copy of the presentation, not as a power point
document, but as a slide show document.

Go to File -> Save as. In the dialog box, change the type to Power Point
Show (.pps). Then when you open the .pps document, and it will come up in
slide show mode.

Subject: [PCSOFT] Power Point Question

I am using Power Point 2003 to teach a Senior Computer class and have a
slight problem.

How can I set my presentation up so that when I open Power Point to start
the presentation, it opens with the first slide full screen and nothing else
showing? Right now when I click on the presentation it opens in Power Point
showing the setup screen, with everything set like I was going to start
making a presentation with all the toolbars visible. I know I can set it not
to show the toolbars, but will have to go and set it to show everything
again, when I want to create a new presentation.

I know that this can be done, because I have seen similar presentations that
open, showing the first slide full screen and nothing else.

Hoping someone can help me. I am using XP-SP2.

Thanks in advance.
