This is a new pc with Win 2000 Professional.  When typing in Word or composing Email, the pc will sometimes stall.  It will usually return to normal after about 30 seconds.  The pc will also lock up at times when attempting to close a window or delete/select Email.  In these cases if ctrl alt del is used and task manager is selected, a notation is shown that states "CPU usage 100%".  End task will usually return the pc to desktop, but not always...sometimes must reboot.
