I made a 55GB image of my hard drive using free imaging software. Unfortunately, the image software was on the drive that I reformatted. I thought the program was ImageMaker 1.1. I downloaded it and tried to restore the image, but shortly after the restore began, I got an error message and it aborted. Then, of course, my disk was partially restored, and I had to reinstall my XP home from scratch.

The image file I have has the extension, .img. Does anyone know of any software, preferably free or trial, that would restore it?

Thanks.

Wayne
