Dorothy,
When you use search and replace to batch "mark" words, it is easy to unmark
them. You need to have the specialized Icons (representing the correct
editing functions) showing on your toolbars in your word processor. Since I
don't know what word processor you are using. I'll tell you how I do it in
Word97. Once they are there all you have to do is select the words you want
to revert back, and click on the toolbar icon.
For instance if you were using either font color or highlighting to mark
the selected words, then you must first have the correct icons showing.
Under TOOLS, CUSTOMIZE, COMMANDS select the CATEGORY "FORMAT" and scroll
COMMANDS down to the font Color and Highlight ICONS and click and drag them
to the toolbar you would like them to show in. Then select the word to
revert and click on the associated icon and the word will loose its
formatting. No need to delete and retype.
Good luck your your book.
