Easy CD has all kinds of problems with win xp and xp sp1...I could not get it to
work at all. I finely uninstalled it, and then did not have a cd-rw anymore......and
could not install it again either...finely found this registry fix.

Go to this key in the registry;
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\
{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
5)Remove keys named UPPERFILTERS and LOWERFILTERS. (make
backup or remember in-case)
6)Restart computer.

When I did this, my cd was back, and Nero worked fine again. I can not
seem to find your specific problem, but know, if you uninstall, it will NOT
take this out of the registry.
