I assume that changes in the German version are similar to those in the
Hebrew version.
Ask her to click on (the German equivalent of) Tools-Options.
She will find a tab called (the German equivalent of) Language. Change it to
English, and then click on OK. She will be asked whether she wants to
re-start Word now to make the changes, and she should answer (the German
equivalent of) Yes.
When Word comes back on her screen in a few seconds it will be in English.
Please note that these changes apply to Word 97 and prior versions. Language
changes in Word 2000 are handled differently.
