This file is driving me crazy.....it hangs both startup and/or shutdown with
different error messages:

the error details tabs say:
startup-
msgsrv32 caused an exception in module devcon32.dll at 0177:100127dc.....
shutdown-
msgsrv32 caused a gpf in module mmsystem.dll at 0003:00000286......


I don't *always* get the errors, but when I do, it hangs windows loading
and/or shutdown so I have to power off and restart w/ scandisk, etc.

My system:
800 Athlon; 256M ram, Win 98 (not SE, but with most updates) w/ dsl
connection.

Does this file have anything to do with internet connection, cuz at times my
dsl "freezes" and when I exit/reboot to reconnect this error message often
occurs.

Let me know if any additional details are needed.
