Look at the CD in Windows File Manager, or My Computer.
See if the file types are CDA.
If NOT, the CD is "burned ~wrong~(?)". (See David Gillett's reply.)

If they ARE CDA files,
(actually that is a phoney "placeholder" type of listing Windows uses...),
then you could try a different type of CD(-R) disk, (as in NOT CD-RW),
or a different manufacturer.  Also try burning at a "forced" lower speed,
and NEVER burn at a speed faster than the disk was rated for on the
original packaging...
(Unlike DVDs, CD will burn as fast as your drive "can", but that can easily
cause problems with lower quality disks not rated for those speeds...)
