That would depend on HOW he removed it and also WHAT he removed.
A "standard" uninstall of AOL should not corrupt a healthy system. If your
brother started "poking around" with the windows explorer and manually
deleting things, then that is a different story.
Has your brother run SCANDISK? SCANREG? DEFRAG?
