Or a scanned picture. My Visioneer Paper Port scanner creates files with the
.MAX extension.

This is a 3D Studio Max file. . . I don't think it can be opened by any
viewer. . . only by 3D Studio Max, which is a high powered application for
creating three dimensional scenes.
