  One of the "preferences" you can set in Firefox is where downloaded files 
are put.  Check your settings there to find out what directory you should 
tell videolan to look in.

  (If the file didn't download completely, you may find it as a .par or 
.part file rather than .avi.  Odds are good that such a partial file is 
useless to you, and you must retry the download.]
