All of your Internet activity can be traced by the ISP. If you are sharing
files using a peer-to-peer client, and someone thinks you are sharing
material illegally, it is possible to trace the source of the sharing by IP
number down to your location. This is unlikely to happen, but possible.
Limewire is Java based and seems a bit clumsy to me by comparison to Ares.
In the past, I had used Limewire with not problems, but for some reason it
stopped connecting to its servers and I could not get it to work even with
the latest version. Since Ares works so well for me, I did not bother to
check the problem with Limewire. The problem was present regardless of which
computer I installed it on (I have several), so I suspect it could be
something to do with my ISP.
