The files are there, trust me! First go to your Internet settings and
delete all your internet temp files. On the control panel, open Folder
options, check that all the options are set so that you can see all system,
hidden files and all extensions. You should now be able to see all your
files and folders. You will see a minimum of 4 directories there, delete
them all. Windows has a bug that lets it forget it's temporary internet
files, so you might see a dozen directories! Mr. Langa at www.langa.com has
a wonderful batch file that you can click that can clean this up and lots
more at http://www.langa.com/cleanup_bat.htm
Norton AV has this page on how to remove the virus also:
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/trojan.byteverify.html
I hope this helps!

Subject: JAVA.BYTVERIFY virus

The NAV 2003 professional on my pc, updated october 13 2003, reports a file
contents the trojan JAVA.BYTVERIFY, but it can neither quarantine nor
delete it.
When I try to manualy delete the file, ...internet temporary
files\content.ie5\o9ynst2j\counter2[1].cab, I realize that no directory is
inside the internet temporary files directory
Doing a search on my entire PC reports no directories or files with such
names exists, but still NAV reports the troyan.
Any advice?
TIA
Roberto
