There seems to be two questions involved here. I am not sure how to
remove an item from the toolbar but to ADD an item there is a freeware
utility on the Windows 98 CD that also works on Windows 95 and NT.

The utility is call Quicktray and can be found in the Resource kit
section of the CD. When it is running you can add items to the tray.
The limitations however are:
1. Quicktray must be running all the time for the icon to appear in the
tray.

2. Quicktray adds it's own icon in the tray, but I have not looked to
much to see if there is a way to hide the icon.

3. The icon is just a shortcut to RUN the application, it does not mean
the application is running. What I mean is that the icon will appear
but you still need to double click on the icon to make it do whatever it
is you want to do.

I hope this information is helpful.
