Gees, with all the answers you're all half right (and, half
wrong!). Indeed, nndbase.* in the Eudora directory are the "nickname"
files, the ones that appear immediately under the Eudora Nicknames (control
L). However, if you have organized your addresses further by adding
"subdirectories" to that primary list, these names occur in the "Nickname"
subdirectory, also as *.toc and *.txt files (the *.toc are "table of
contents" to the appropriate *.txt); the *.toc will be rebuilt if necessary
from the *.txt.
Thus, to do a complete backup of the "Address Book," copy both the
nndbase.* and the Nickname folder's contents. This is true for all Eudora
version 4.x; I cannot remember back to 3.x!!!!!!!!
