I hope that adjusting your settings resolves your firewall problem.

For those wanting more information on security and firewalls, you may
want to explore www.grc.com.  Steve Gibson is remarkable.

Also the most effective firewall is a router even if you have one
computer at your location.  It blocks all kinds of attempts to invade
your computer.  Any local computer store can help you with that. I
previously used ZoneAlarm but once the router was in place ZoneAlarm
got very quiet.
