All was well under WIN98SE. I upgraded to WIN98ME and had many problems which I
could not resolve. However, my DUN password was still saved and usable when
using ME. When I deleted and restored via ME's "remove ME", WIN98SE, all
started working again. BUT I lost my ability to save my DUN password. It is
now greyed out. I have tried MS troubleshooter but none of the suggestions
(steps) work. I have noted:
Under Control Panel, Passwords, I only show a single tab: "User Profiles".
Apparently there is "supposed to be" another tab which give access to changing
passwords and a few other such things. MS refers to this tab as a possible step
in helping to saving my DUN password. Question: anyone know how to get this
"Password" file to create, display, show the second tab? Is there a place to
reload the "Password" file so as to restore this missing tab? (I assume the
computer sys info is irrelevant other than the op sys.)
TIA,
Ken
