The settings and where to find them for this type of problem can
vary depending of what Browser(s) your computer has had installed,
(and uninstalled), and the versions of the networking components
you are running. (Patches, upgrades, DUN version, etc.) Also the
version of Win95 or Win98 you have. You may not find the setting
I am describing. The idea is to get to the Properties of the Internet
Options and change the default dial-up connection. Seems simple...
Finding it is sometimes the challenge... Look on the Desktop, in
Control Panel, and even in Dial-up Networking folder for an Icon
that has the word "Internet" in its name.
Right click on it. Hit "Properties" if it is not Grayed out, "Open" if it is.
IF the Internet Properties Box opens up, Hit the "Connections" tab.
In the Dial-up settings box your old ISP "should" be marked "default"
at this point. Select your new ISP. Hit the "Set Default" button.
That "should" do it... Good luck.
"Sorry" if your settings boxes are different... Rick Glazier
