If you go to your "TaskManager" (CTRL/ALT/DEL) go to the "Processes" tab. This will list all the active processes running at the time. Find "ACTALERT.EXE"; select it and the click on the "END PROCESS" selection (usually lower right hand corner), then close "Task manager". Now that the process is stopped you should be able to delete "ACTALERT.EXE", without any problems. This worked for me 98 % of the time. Good Luck.

When I ran a virus scan I got this message:
"Virus Name:W32/Downloader.Dyfuca
Infected File: C:\PROGRAM FILES\INTERNET OPTIMIZER\ACTALERT.EXE
The Anti-Virus was unable to disinfect the file. Please delete this file."
When I try to delete the file I get a message saying I am not allowed to do so since it is a Windows file.
What shd I do?
