The latency is set in the BIOS, best thing to do is set it to "setup defaults" that
way the motherboard will set the latency to the boards specification.

For this you should run the "Intel' Chipset Software Installation Utility". It's
not at their website now but I uploaded it for you (and anyone else that wants it)
and you can get it here,  http://home.earthlink.net/~josed/storage/   It's the file
called Disk1.zip

Ignore it, the performance loss is only noticed in bench marking utilities or
diagnostic software. You should always have the latest drivers for all your devices
though.

FAT32 would be a good idea but if you're not running out of disk don't loose any
sleep over it. To change the FAT without formatting and reinstalling the OS you
would need partition Magic.
