I have Win95b with IE4. In my C:\windows\cookies folder, there is a file
named index.dat. Does anyone know what this file is? I can't delete it, edit
it,
or change the .dat extension. When I run it, it tries to run as an activemovie
file, but it won't run. I get an error message that says "The media type of
this file is not recognized."
I tried everything I know, including running Winfile.
Is there some way to change the.dat association that I haven't thought of yet
The file 32kb in size.
Thanks,
Mark Hayden
