> Does anybody know a way to install Windows me over windows 98 I have a
full version of me and it says to just get the upgrade to install. Is there
some switches or undocumented way tried to do it but it did work. Thanks

You can install the full version over Windows 98, although it is recommended
to install ME clean, meaning a hard drive format first. I don't happen to
agree with this because when I first installed ME it was over 98, now I have
it installed cleanly after having to format my drive, but I found it to be
more stable when it was over 98. Anyway, all you have to do is insert the
Windows ME CD and it should start automatically. If it doesn't just go to
Start/Run and enter your CD-Rom drive letter, usually D if you have only 1
hard drive with only one partition, and then setup.exe, so it would look
like this: D:setup.exe, or you can go directly to the CD itself through
Windows Explorer and look for the Setup file and double click it.
