Hi Lew,

Not sure which email client you're using, but most are all the same, whether it's Windows 
Live mail or Thunderbird etc. or even webmail.
You need to have the formatting bar displayed. You can show this by setting the format to 
Rich Text or HTML
(That's on the Menu bar at the top.
Once you see the Format bar, there is an icon with a globe ,which is for inserting a 
hyperlink.
Click that and a small panel pops up . Once you see that ,it becomes self evident what to 
put where.
One box is for the description, the other is for the actual URL

Like this How to insert hyperlink    I could've put any description in that box , but 
this leads to a similar explanation of what I described above.
