I did not catch the first part of the message so i don't know exactly what
the problem is but if you are just trying to make Internet explorer your
default browser again you can do this but simply go to the Internet options
in your control panel, click the programs tab at the top, then at the bottom
of that page you will see a box to check for i.e. to "Internet Explorer
should check to see if it is the default browser." So the next time you open
it up it should ask to make i.e. your default browser. No uninstall or
reinstall needed. Hope this was on target for your problem.
