Windows XP requires an activation process. To get the second computer
activated, you will need a second serial number (activation code). You get
one by purchasing another copy of XP! I am not aware of a discount for a
license only to individuals. Licenses seem to be for volume purchasers only.
If you are a student at a college, you may be eligible to purchase an
educational licensed copy that is a fraction of the cost of the regular
item. If enrolled in a computer science program, you might even be able to
get a copy for free or nearly so.
