A restore disk is a disk supplied by the manufacture. It should restore the
computer to the condition it was in when new.
This should include all drivers for hardware that was originally with the
computer. You would still need drivers for any hardware added or changed
since purchase. I would also go the manufacturers website and get the
upgrades put out since it was built.
It would also need all the Windows update for that OS.
Good luck

I'm familiar with the procedure to format, partition, and reinstall an
operating system using a Win98SE disc as I had a hard drive failure in my
laptop and I physically replaced it myself and then reinstalled everything.
My friend's desktop needs to be reformatted and brought back to a new
condition, but he only has a "restore" disc. Do I treat this restore disc
any differently than a full operating system disc? I am particularly
worried about the drivers needed to get his computer working properly again.
Thanks for your prompt reply.
