Ok Sue, there should be an icon for "show desktop" in your quick launch
toolbar, right click on the task bar and click "toolbars" then put a check
beside "Quick Launch". If you have the Quick Launch tool bar enabled and for
some reason the "Show Desktop" icon is missing, you can right click on a
blank spot in the taskbar and you should see a "Show Desktop" selection in
the menu. If you need to make a new icon / shortcut for the "Show Desktop"
feature you can create a new shortcut to it, the process is a little
complicated but I'll walk you through it step by step
1. Create a new text document on your desktop
2. Type the following lines into the blank document:
[Shell]
Command=2
Iconfile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggelDesktop
3. Click on the File Menu and select "Save AS"
4. Call your file: "Show Desktop.scf"
5. Make sure that you leave the "quotes" around the name so that it will
have the scf extension and not a .txt extension when you save it.
6. When you finish you should have a new shortcut to show the desktop that
you can put into your quick launch toolbar.
7. the text document that you made earlier should be converted to a scf
file, but if for some reason the text document is still on your desktop you
can delete it.

Subject: [PCSOFT] Shortcut to Desktop
I've done this on my home computer and need to do it on my work laptop, but
totally forgot how to do this.
How do I generate an icon to go on the tray at the bottom of the screen to
"Show Desktop" ?
I'm using XP Pro.
Thanks!
