Thanks Hugh. Unfortunately this is not an option. I have only one computer 
and when the hard drive crashed I replaced it with a new one with Win Vista 
64 bit. I can install Outlook 2000 on the new machine but it can't 
open/import or use the backup pst file I had created and saved before the HD 
crash. I need a 3rd party program/utility and as I said I see some I can 
download but they all seem to cost $49++ and that seems a lot for a one time 
use to extract just a few personal contacts. If I was still working and 
these were business contacts I would be happy to pay to retrieve them.
