FYI Netscape Messenger does the same thing. I have Opera set as my default
browser but any links in Messenger are automatically opened in Communicator, at
least in v4.73. IE takes this one step further though. If I change my default
browser to IE, any web pages I've saved to my hard drive change to the IE icon
and open there. But changing the default browser back to NS or Opera does not
change any icons I've opened with IE to the new default browser and they will
still insist on opening in IE unless I manually (shift-right click) change each
one.
