Hi. I have a pc with XP Home (SP2) and Verizon DSL internet. I use Verizon/Yahoo mail. My verizon account allows sub-accounts so my wife and I have seperate e-mail accounts. I am using Internet Explorer 7. I logged in to my mail account the other day. When I right clicked on the Inbox folder nothing happened. Normally the folder would open and display my email. I tried all the other folders spam, trash, sent, etc. and none would open. I right clicked on the Inbox folder and selected the Open command and the folder opened. I then discovered that none of the buttons on the mail page would work. If I tried to delete, move etc. nothing happened. The button would "depress" but nothing would happen. There are various other buttons on the page compose, search mail etc. and none of them work either. There are links on the page and they all work. Now for the strange part. I logged off of my account and into my wife's account and everything works fine in her mail account. Same computer, same browser, same mail provider, my mail doesn't work, her's does.
I contacted Verizon support and they had me install Mozilla Firefox. I then logged in using Firefox and both mail accounts work fine. They said the problem is with IE and to contact Microsoft. I tried a system restore to way before the problem started but that didn't help. I reinstalled IE7 and that didn't help either. I have 2 other computers (both XP Home, SP2, IE). Both can access both mail accounts with no problems. A virus/malware scan detected nothing. I don't know what to try next. Any suggestions?
