<<<<< Is there a way of using key board commands to access the hard drive?>>>>>

Hi,

YES THERE IS.

keep pressing the key with "windows logo" ,and press once the key with the letter "E" and you will get "my computer" listing your HDD partitions, cd/dvd drives and "my documents"

from there navigate wherever you want with the up/down/left/right arrow keys.

BTW have you tried a USB mouse??? you may possibly have to enable "usb keyboard support" in the BIOS for this to work.

HTH and good luck in recovering whatever you want.----Venkat
