Hi Listers

For everyone who wants to be sure their antivirus software is working I
have included the virus test string in this email. I have added one
extra character so that my message is not blocked from the list.
All you need to do is follow the 3 simple steps below:

1/ Copy the following string and paste it into notepad.

2/ Delete the Hash (#) that I have put in to stop the nospin virus
checker from rejecting this message, It is the 5th character from the
begining.

3/ Save the notepad document, you can call it anything you like as long
as you give it a .com extension. I find it useful to call it: "virus
test file.com" so that when my virus checker does find it I can see that
it isn't a real virus.

NOTE: If yor virus checker is any good it should tell you this is a
virus when you try to save it after removing the hash. You will have to
tell your virus software to ignore the file, and not quarentine or
delete it!!

The test string is:
X5O!#P%@AP[4\PZX54(P^)7CC)7}$EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE!$H+H*

You can put this file anywhere on your system.

This is an industry standard test string that any working virus software
should find.
