On August 28th I posted a problem: "...when I boot OE (sometimes at system boot) to get my mail, I get error window: "Some errors occurred while processing requested tasks." Then I got a window with incomprehensible 'details'.

Many thanks to the four of you who responded - even though the first three didn't work. First prize goes to Paul A. Shippert who has the dubious advantage of also being a Comcast Cable subscriber. On PCSoft Digest 8/30-31/03 he surmised the problem and provided the solution: For some reason my "Incoming Mail Server" was "localhost". When I followed his counsel and changed it to "Mail.Comcast.Net" I got a window to enter user name & password, with both lines filled in ('remembered' by OE). User name was wrong! When I corrected that, mail started coming through - mirabile dictu! The scary part is I haven't a clue as to what I did last week to create the problem.

Apparently many of us have the defect that my wife complains about with me: can't keep more than one item in mind. Example: in my post to PCSoft Digest I also asked for help in fitting web page to printed page. No one responded to this!

As they say, half a loaf... and the main problem has been solved. Again, many thanks to all - and especially to our hosts at St. Johns.
