Background: OS solaris  2.5, Ghostscript 5.50, Tex C ver. 6.1, dvips
5.58f, perl 5.003.

Problem: when running LaTeX2HTML ver. 98.1, we are getting the following
error:

As the result, all equations are skipped.

Has anybody experienced a similar error ? Any thought how to solve the
