Is there a certain program or function that the system locks up on?
Multiple things can cause your problem. Can you narrow it down to one
thing that you are doing to cause the lock up? If not and since this is
an older system then I would start by reseating all components connected
to the motherboard. Always use safety precautions while working on
electronic units. If you are unfamiliar with the procedure then work with
a friend given you want to take on this new challenge.
