Does Windows 2000 have any sort of counterpart to the "msconfig" utility in
Win98?

I am wondering if there is some easy way that I can determine, and if
necessary, control the programs that start automatically when I boot. I
realize some of these are in my Startup folder, but if Win2K is anything
like Win98, there are a lot of processes going on in the background that are
loaded at startup, and if my Win98 experience means anything, not all of
these are necessary nor welcome.

Is Win2K similar? If so, how can I control the start-up behavior?

Thanks to all.

Michael
