Leon, presuming that you are using a recent Windows operating system, you
might try disabling Fast Shutdown. You can do that as follows: Go
START/PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/SYSTEM TOOLS/System Information Utility. When
there, under Tools start System Configuration Utility and click on the
Advanced box under the General tab. That will take you to the Advanced
Troubleshooting Settings. Down the list the is a box you can check to
Disable Fast Shutdown. If that solution is not available to you, repost your
question and include more information on your operating system.

Subject: [PCSOFT] My PC will not shutdown, Help
My Pentium 200 will not shutdown properly. If you go to shutdown and select
shutdown, it starts to shutdown and gets to the page that says please wait
and then restarts. Everytime it starts it says to run scandisk and I run it
but it doesn't fix the shutdown problem. Any ideas?
