EML files are kinda odd, inasmuch as they're only Outlook Express Email files, but for some reason, the computer seems to need it's hand held to be able to read them. Least, that's been my experience.
Actually, I'd never even seen one myself, but my wife got one attached to a friend's email a coupla days back, and couldn't open it from where it was. But after she saved it to disk, she was able to open it without problem.
Seems to me the Microsoft department responsible for the creation of Outlook Express, has very little contact with Redmond staff, or even other humans.
Sometimes I wonder if they even live down here with the rest of us, or whether they inhabit some other dimension, which they share with the writers of Excel.

Subject: [PCSOFT] problem reading attachments
Hi,
I use outlook express6 on a P4 1.5ghz running XP. A friend of mine has sent me a couple of emails with an attachment that shows as a ".eml" file and I cannot view it. She says another of her friends has the same problem.
Is this a problem with her computer, my computer or is she sending me a file type for which I do not have the program? Don't get these files from anyone else.
Thanks
Rick Thornton
