I think I'm correct in saying that:
Since the Win9x series was just a transitional OS anyway,
and has reached the end the line...
(Going from 16 bit DOS to a full 32bit OS.)
Windows 2000 is also the "next release" for that also.
This will leave lots of programs and hardware obsolete.
