If all you want is to transfer only the e-mail, then copy the outlook.pst
file from the old computer to the new one. However, this will not preserve
you e-mail account settings and rules. You can export the rules and then
import them to the new computer. Transferring the e-mail account settings is
a bit trickier. It will involve saving part of the registry and then
importing those registry settings into the new computer. The settings can be
found at:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows
Messaging Subsystem\Profiles\Outlook 2003
Use great care when making changes in the registry. There may be a utility
to transfer your Outlook Profile (where the e-mail settings are stored), but
I am not familiar with such. You can find where your Outlook.pst file is
located (and possibly find its actual name if different) by opening Outlook
and select "File/Data File Management" from the menu bar. It will show the
name and location of your data file.
Before you delete the information on the old computer, make sure that the
new one has all the data that you wanted on it and is working!

I have a need for some advice. How do I take email from Outlook in my
laptop and move it to my desk top computer? I need to clean everything out,
so I can set it up for a new user.
