Hello Walter,
This is what END.ADS told me to do, and it's worked! Actually cegstevens posted also how to get rid of them, but here's how,
Go To:
Start
Control Panel
Performance and Maintenance
Administration Tools
Services
Scroll down until you see "Messenger"
Dbl, Click
When it opens, go to General tab
Next to the "Start up" tab, select "Disable"
Then under the "Service Status" click "Stop"
Then "apply"
then OK
If you encounter any problems disabling 'Messenger" (I haven't) you can always re-enable it.
